Unity’s eponymous game development platform is a notable competitor to Epic’s Unreal engine. However, it is not the only acclaimed game engine on the market, and in recent years it has faced increasing pressure from its largest long-standing rival: Unity. The combination of these two characteristics gives developers open access to a comprehensive set of tools to make high-quality games with tight budgets.
